The Kings Worthy Community Shed has made a number of different items; up to the end of 2024 72 items in 8 different categories.
Repairs and Recycling
One of the Shed’s main activities is the repair of various items including electrical items, bicycles, and furniture. When an item is taken in my the Shed we will assess the viability of the repair i.e. is it within our capability or can we source a replacement part. A small donation is welcome when the item is collected.
Since the Shed started we have taken in about 120 items ranging from bicycles to radios, from lamps to garden benches. And this does not include the jobs we have taken on for the community not the products we make such as hedgehog boxes, wellie boot stands etc.
What we’ve found is that many household products CAN be repaired successfully using the experience and collective know-how within our community. The great news is that by repairing we save money, resources, reduce our CO2 emissions and have a lot of fun and satisfaction along the way.
